Subscribing to a Meeting Maker Calendar Using an iPhone or iCal

The new version of Meeting Maker (8.8) supports CalDAV, a standard, open calendar protocol. Meeting Maker's current implentation is one way only at this time. This allows you to "subscribe" to your Meeting Maker calendar on calendar products that are CalDAV-aware. On the Apple platform, one can download meeting information either to your desktop software, iCal, or directly to an iPhone over the air without wires.

LOG IN TO THE MEETINGMAKER CALDAV SERVLET
1. Use a web browser to connect to the following URL: http://209.96.96.42:8080/mmcaldav/
2. Log in using your Meeting Maker username and password.
3. You will see a web page with "Your Meeting Maker Identifier" and a list of Subscription URLs. The list will include your calendar plus anyone you have view or view/write access to.
4. You can also view directions for subscribing to the calendar via iCal on Macintosh or Mozilla Sunbird on Windows at this location.

SUBSCRIBING TO MEETING MAKER CALENDAR USING AN iPHONE

Currently, one can subscribe to his or her Meeting Maker calendar on an iPhone in a one-way manner. This means that calendar events will be brought to your phone automatically but events entered on your phone will NOT be updated on the server. This method does allow you to keep a current version of your Meeting Maker schedule on your phone. Meeting Maker is promising bi-directional support in the future. You can have multiple calendars on an iPhone so you could keep another calendar of events you enter on the go and enter those events into Meeting Maker manually. You can display multiple calendars on an iPhone as well.

1. Tap Settings on your iPhone and scroll down and tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars."
2. Under "Accounts," tap "Add Account"
3. Tap "Other"
4. Tap "Add Subscribed Calendar" (note the option "Add CalDAV Account" does not seem to work with Meeting Maker.)
5. In "Server" enter the subscription URL found in this first part of this tutorial. (Since the URL is long and complex, I found it easiest to copy the URL on my computer and email it to myself. I then open the email on the iPhone and copy the URL which I then paste into this box.)
6. Click Next
7. After a moment, it will ask you to enter your Username and Password. Use the Meeting Maker Identifier you received above (username@BASD MeetingMaker Server) and your Meeting Maker password.
8. Next to "Use SSL" change the slider to OFF.
9. Click SAVE. At the top, a successful subscription should say "Subscribed Calendar account verified."
10. Next, exit the Settings and enter the Calendar app. You should see a list of calendars at the bottom of which you will see a list of "Subscribed" calendars.
