Itinerary
December 30 (Dinner Voucher)
Arrive in Washington. Free time for lunch on your own and to explore New National Harbor or WWII and Vietnam Memorials and FDR Monument. Late afternoon check in at the Gaylord National Resort (luxurious guest rooms; 18 story glass atrium with spectacular views of monuments, landmarks, and Potomac River; private marina, 20,000 square foot spa and fitness center and pool). Dinner. Visit to Festival of Lights including a live nativity scene, live musical performances, and over 250,000 lights and tree displays from around the world. Bring your camera!
December 31 (Breakfast Buffet, Dinner)
Leisurely breakfast buffet. Visit to the U.S. Botannical Garden, a living plant museum and one of the oldest botanic gardens in North America, established by Congress in 1820. Tour of the Christian Heurich Mansion, excellent representation of the merchant class homes of 1894 featuring a magnificent Victorian parlor.

January 1 (Continental Breakfast, Brunch Cruise)
Breakfast and check out. Visit to Mount Vernon, estate of George Washington, America's most visited historic house. Includes the Ford Orientation Center and Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center. In the afternoon board the Odyssey III cruise ship for a champagne brunch cruise on the Potomac. Later, a stop at the Pageant of Peace in Ellipse Park, across from the White House, for choral performances, Nativity scene, burning Yule log, and National Christmas Tree. Departure for home.
