WAIVER DAYS

Waiver days are offered as a means of support to families when child care is not required according to the following information.

Parents/guardians of child enrolled 2-5 days per week (September to June of school year program) may request a waiver of fees.

Waiver days may be used as a vacation day, on inclement weather days or in the event your child is ill; however, the use of a waiver day must be determined in advance.

If you plan to use a waiver day, your request must be submitted in writing to the Center Supervisor prior to the date of absence. (Forms are provided for this purpose.)

In the event of inclement weather and you choose not to send your child, please request use of a waiver day when you call the center to report your child's absence.

In the event of illness you must request use of a waiver day when you call the center to report your child's absence. It will not be granted after the date of absence.

Waiver days are offered as follows:

Child enrolled 5 days/week = 10 days
Child enrolled 4 days/week = 6 days
Child enrolled 3 days/week = 4 days
Child enrolled 2 days/week = 2 days

These waiver days represent the total which will be offered for the school year. No additional days will be offered during the Winter Holidays.

Parents whose child attends on day-to-day basis only are not entitled to waiver days.
Children enrolled after start of school will have total number of waiver days pro-rated. See Center Supervisor for the correct number.

It is your responsibility to request the use of your waiver days. Do not rely upon the staff to make that decision for you.
