DATES
OF AVAILABLE SERVICE
Child Care is provided 12 months of the year. The school
year program follows the School District Calendar. The summer program
runs for 10-11 weeks contingent upon the closing and opening again of
the school year. The summer program is offered at a reduced number of
sites chosen on the basis of need and facilities available. Separate registration
is required for the summer program.
The centers are closed on the following days for the 2006-2007 school
year:

The centers may be closed for
several days at the beginning or ending of the school year and summer
program for staff training and room preparation.
District Closed - HOLIDAYS
On
days when District schools are closed, the Child Care program will operate
regular hours, 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Clearview,
Farmersville, Fountain Hill, Hanover, Lincoln, SPARK Child Care and
Spring Garden.
District Closed – WINTER RECESS &
SPRING RECESS
Only three (3) centers: Fountain
Hill, Hanover and Spring Garden will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
on December 26, 27, 28, and 31, 2007 ;
March 20 and March 24, 2008.
Inclement Weather
Days - SCHOOLS CLOSED
On days when District schools are closed for the day, the Child Care program
will operate from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. instead of 6:30 a.m. to 6:00
p.m. in order to give Child Care staff and Maintenance staff ample time
to arrive and open centers in a safe manner.
On days when District schools are closed for the day, the following
centers will be open: Clearview, Farmersville, Fountain Hill, Hanover,
Lincoln, SPARK Child Care and Spring Garden.
Parents will have an opportunity to select, in advance, the center where
they want their child to attend.
Inclement Weather Days - DELAYED OPENING
On days when
District schools will have a one or two hour delayed opening, the Child
Care program will operate from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. instead of 6:30
a.m. to 6:00 p.m. All seventeen (17) centers will be open.
Inclement Weather Days - EARLY CLOSING
On days when District
Schools close early because of weather conditions, the Child Care staff
will be on duty earlier, if necessary, and will stay until 6:00 p.m.
at
all seventeen (17) centers. If Child Care needs to close early due to
extreme conditions, all parents will be contacted.
