Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg
Any senior who has volunteered at least 100 hours at LV Hospital- Muhlenberg can apply for the Auxilary Scholarship. Contact Liz in the Volunteer Office, 484-884-2229. The deadline is March 31st.

Discover Scholarship Program
This program is open to juniors. Winners of this $30,000 scholarship will be selected based on overall excellence in the areas of leadership and community service, while successfully overcoming a hardship or challenge. Students must maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA. The deadline is January 31.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Award
is open to any senior who has demonstrated outstanding community service over the past year. Apply online. For a paper application, go to the Community Service Office. Be sure to follow the directions and adhere to the November 2, 2009 deadline.

Society of Volunteer Administrators of the Lehigh Valley
The Society of Volunteer Administrators offers a $500 scholarship to a student who has volunteered with one of the member agencies for 2 or more years and has exceeded 60 hours.

Some of the member agencies include:

Cedarbrook Nursing Home
DaVinci Science Center
Kirkland Village
Miller Keystone Blood Center
St. Luke's Hospital

Kohl's Kids Who Care

Best Buy Scholarship
Best Buy is awarding 1,500 students awards of $1500 each. An additional 51 students will receive awards of $10,000 each. Students who have demonstrated a commitment to community service and have a GPA of at least 2.5 are qualified to apply. Applications must be submitted online by February 15, 2010.

Scholarships for Community Service activities

If you have volunteered for Keystone Miller Blood Center for at least 2 years and you have over 135 hours, you are eligible to apply for the annual scholarship offerer by the Center and Hospital Central Services Cooperative (HCSC). This $1000 scholarship is given to a high school senior who is going on to an accredited higher education institute. You can call the Volunteer Office or download the application from:
