Tutoring in Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania Department of Education is funding a tutoring initiative in order to provide assistance to students not making adequate academic progress. Through Tutoring in Pennsylvania, the Bethlehem Area School District is able to implement evidence-based math and reading tutoring programs at every school. Eligibility for students is based on Basic or Below Basic performance on PSSA testing. For children in grades K to 3, eligibility is determined by "on-demand" or "over-time" assessments. Parents are encouraged to contact their child's school principal for further information about this initiative.
