The district has scheduled Act 80 Teacher Inservice days into the district calendar for the remainder of the year for staff development. The following dates have been scheduled as Act 80 Teacher Inservice Days (1/2 days for students):

Monday, January 11, 2010
Monday, February 8, 2010
Monday, March 8, 2010
Monday, May 10, 2010

Student dismissal times for these days are as follows:

11:20 a.m. – High Schools
12:00 p.m. – Middle Schools
12:30 p.m. – Elementary Schools

Kindergarten will follow a condensed schedule with AM students attending school from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and PM students attending school from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The SPARK Program will also follow the early dismissal schedule, and Child Care Centers will be open at all locations.

High school students who attend Bethlehem Vo-Tech School in the afternoon are not obligated to attend class on these Act 80 days, however, they may attend if they wish, but transportation will not be provided.

Staff notification was sent via email on December 10.

Letters to parents will be mailed out the week of December 14.
