BOARD HUMAN RESOURCES

COMMITTEE MEETING

Monday, March 8, 2004

 

 

Members of the Board Human Resources Committee met on Monday, March 8, 2004, in the Superintendent’s Conference Room A, at the Education Center. Present were the following school board members: Rosario Amato, Joseph Craig, Dr. Craig Haytmanek, William Heske, Charlene Koch, Loretta Leeson, Diane Rowe, Julie Venanzi, and Margaret Williams. Also present were Superintendent Joseph Lewis and Associate Superintendent Michele Kostem.

 

The meeting of the Board Human Resources Committee was called to order by Dr. Craig Haytmanek at 8:14 p.m.

 

Open Forum – Joseph Craig reported on conferences he had attended and the information he brought back for the Board to review.

 

Review of Policy Manuel – The Board of School Directors continued the review and revision of the District’s Board Policies. Presented for discussion were the 300s and 400s. Each policy was reviewed and an explanation of the changes was given. Most of the revisions were minor and resulted from updating of the policies to conform to changes in the law. Several new policies were recommended by the Pennsylvania School Boards Association to conform to requirements from the “No Child Left Behind” Act.

 

 

Dr. Craig Haytmanek adjourned the meeting at 8:57 p.m.
