Health Survey for Students - Dr. Bonnie Coyle, Director of Community Health at St. Lukes Hospital, presented a brief overview of activities of the Bethlehem Partnership including the mobile health vans at Liberty High School and Freedom High School, the vision initiative which has provided lenses and frames to over 100 students, and the dental initiative which provided preventive and restorative care to over 200 children. Dr. Coyle also reviewed a health survey that, if approved, would be distributed to high school students. A similar survey was completed during the 1995-96 school year. Information received on the survey is needed when applying for grants. It was suggested by Mrs. Venanzi that this type of survey be conducted on a regular basis, possibly every two years. The Board committee approved distribution of the survey to high school students. A report of the findings will be distributed to the board when the survey is completed.
