BOARD FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

MARCH 1, 2004

 

Chairperson Charlene Koch together with Board Members Loretta Leeson, Margaret Williams, Rosie Amato, Dr. Craig Haytmanek, Julie Venanzi, and Diane Rowe met with Superintendent Joseph Lewis, Assistant Director of Business Affairs, Kathleen McCann, and Associate Superintendent Michele Kostem, in Superintendent’s Conference Room A. Also in attendance were Dr. Joseph Mickley, Jr., and Charlene Brennan from Colonial Intermediate Unit #20.

COLONIAL INTERMEDIATE UNIT #20 2004-2005 Budget – Dr. Joseph Mickley, Jr., presented the budget for the 2004-2005 year. Dr. Mickley reviewed all the services offered by the Intermediate Unit. The Intermediate Unit’s total 2004-2005 General Operating Budget is $2,333,880, which represents a 9.3 percent increase from the current year. Of this amount the 13 districts receiving Intermediate Unit services contribute a total of $443,490 through subsidy withholding.

 

The Bethlehem Area School District’s share of the General Operating Budget will be $92,636. This is an increase of $822 from 2003-2004.

 

The Board will consider approving this budget at the regular monthly meeting to be held on March 15, 2004.
