INFORMATION:
The Pennsylvania Department of Health and Pennsylvania SAFE KIDS Coalition has announced the availability of $2,500 mini-grants to school/community partnerships to improve school safety and prevent youth violence. The focus of the mini-grant is to support youth violence prevention through the implementation of Be Safe and Sound.
Calypso Elementary School is applying for funds under this initiative to implement a Be Safe and Sound Program. They will be partnering with the Boys and Girls Club of Bethlehem. Together they will offer a program that includes both evening events and events that will be scheduled during the school day, thereby making it available to all students and families from the community, regardless of the schools they attend.
