INFORMATION:
The Pennsylvania Department of Education, Bureau of Family Health, is accepting mini-grant applications up to $3,000 related to eliminating barriers to inclusion of children and youth with special needs. Funds are available to support activities which directly address physical, environmental, and informational barriers allowing community organizations and schools to be more inclusive of children with special health care needs.
Liberty High School would like to purchase an Attainment Workstation loaded with a functional skills software package that includes life skills, functional math and literacy skills, and work skills activities for their students with special needs.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the administration be authorized to submit a mini-grant application to the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Bureau of Family Health, on behalf of Liberty High School in the amount of $2,997.
