12.    Renewal of Maintenance Agreement - Optical Mark Scanners

 

 

INFORMATION:

 

The current maintenance agreement on the optical mark scanners expires October 31, 2003. The maintenance agreement provides for parts replacement, transportation of replacement parts, and telephone consultation. Since this equipment is vital to the daily reporting of information from the schools to the Data Processing Department, uninterrupted use of the equipment is imperative, and the need for a comprehensive maintenance agreement is vital.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

That the administration be authorized to renew the maintenance agreement with NCS Pearson for optical mark scanners from November 1, 2003, through October 31, 2004, at a cost of $6,912.

 

 

The administration's recommendations 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11,
12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 were considered together.
