7.      Authorization to Expend 2001 Bond Funds - Proposals Received

         February 26, 2003 - Construction Testing - Northeast Middle School

 

 

INFORMATION:

 

Proposals were received on Wednesday, February 26, 2003, for:

 

                        Construction Testing - Northeast Middle School

 

 

The proposals have been reviewed by the appropriate administrative and supervisory personnel.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

That the administration be authorized to award a contract for construction testing based on unit costs as follows:

 

 

                        Earthwork Testing:

 

                                    Advantage Engineering                         Not to exceed $40,000

                                    20 South 36th Street

                                    Camp Hill, Pennsylvania 17011

 

                        All other Testing (Concrete, masonry, steel, etc.):

 

                                    Certified Testing Labs, Inc.                  Not to exceed $50,000

                                    54 East Fairview Street

                                    Bethlehem, Pennsylvania 18018

 

 

The administration's recommendations 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, and 32 were considered together.
