19. Preliminary Resolution - Bethlehem Area School District Bond
Refunding Issue
INFORMATION:
The Bethlehem Area School District is attempting to obtain savings from debt refunding and seeks to obtain school board authorization to proceed with the identification of the financial team, preparation of the necessary documents, and advancement of the structure necessary to successfully implement an interest rate swap agreement. Approval of this resolution is not intended to contractually bind the school district to complete the debt refunding. It is intended to establish their resolve to proceed with plans, which include the identification of the professionals who will be responsible for the preparation of the debt contract.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Board of School Directors approve the proposed resolution authorizing the administration to take all actions necessary to undertake the refunding as described above.
The administration's recommendations 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15a, 15b, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25 were considered together.
