RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE ADMINISTRATION - February 24, 2003
INFORMATION:
At the January 7, 2002, Special Board Meeting, a contract was awarded to Albarell Electric, Inc., for miscellaneous electrical work at the Rosemont building. The district's Information and Communication Technologies Department has confirmed that the Regional Academic Standards Academy and the S.P.A.R.K. Program at the Rosemont building will require additional computer network and telephone system installations. In addition, the existing telephone service wiring and other utilities extending into the building from Pennsylvania Avenue will need to be relocated. The contractor, Albarell Electric, Inc., has proposed to do this work for a cost not to exceed $20,000.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Board of School Directors authorize the administration to issue a change order to Albarell Electric, Inc., for the following work at the Rosemont building for a cost not to exceed $20,000:
a. Install additional computer network and phone systems.
b. Relocate the existing phone service wiring and other utilities extending into the
building from Pennsylvania Avenue.
The administration's recommendations 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15a, 15b, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25 were considered together.
