4.      Authorization to Expend 2001 Bond Funds - Cooling Tower

         Replacement at East Hills Middle School - Change Order

 

 

INFORMATION:

 

The existing cooling tower has been removed. Investigative probes of the surface below the old cooling tower revealed that soft and yielding materials below must be removed prior to installation of the new foundations and equipment. The contractor, Worth and Company, Inc., will over excavate the area below the old cooling tower and replace the material with new compacted stone for a cost not to exceed $5,000.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

That the Board of School Directors issue a change order to Worth and Company, Inc., for a cost not to exceed $5,000 to over excavate the area below the old cooling tower and replace the material with new compacted stone.
