The Department of Education announced the availability of funds for school districts that operate programs that meet the guidelines for alternative education programs for disruptive students.
The District will apply for funds for the Character Academic and Motivation Program (CA/MP). If approved, the Bethlehem Area School District will be reimbursed at a rate of $1,840 per student for the 2002-2003 school year.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the administration be authorized to submit an application to the Department of Education for the Alternative Education for Disruptive Youth Program funds for the CA/MP program.
The administration's recommendations 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, and 32 were considered together.
