RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE ADMINISTRATION - March 18, 2002
RECOMMENDATION:
That the administration be authorized to make budgetary transfers in the 2001-2002 General Fund Budget as set forth in the attachment.
The administration's recommendations 18, 28, 32, and 35 were considered together. Director Leeson questioned the transfers of funds from Instruction - Regular Programs and Support Services - Instructional Services to Administration, Business, and Maintenance of Plant. She asked for an explanation of exactly what the transfer is. Mr. Majewski explained that each cabinet member has budgetary responsibilities. Through the course of the year there may be costs that incur greater in certain function areas than in others. Decisions are then made to transfer budgeted funds from one area to the other to cover unanticipated costs. Mr. Majewski will provide the details of the transfers to Director Leeson.
