17. Pennsylvania Council on the Arts - Arts in Education Grant
INFORMATION:
The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA) is requesting applications for Arts in Education Residency programs for the 2002-2003 school year. The Single Artist Residencies must utilize the services of PCA-approved artists.
The goal of the program is to develop students' creative capabilities and technical skills. Artist, acting as a consultant or facilitator, will work intensely with small groups of students called core-groups. This will allow for students to make creative decisions and exercise control over their work.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the administration be authorized to submit an application on behalf of Liberty High School to the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts for a Single Artist Residency with the internationally known "Latin Fiesta" Ensemble.
