7.        Authorization to Add Positions from Budgetary Reserve

 

 

INFORMATION:

 

Budgetary Reserve includes funds for unanticipated changes in school programs and enrollment increases. The number of students in the fifth grade at Governor Wolf Elementary School has grown to 89, resulting in two classes with 30 assigned to each of them and one class of 29.  A fourth class is needed to avoid a student to teacher ratio of 30 to 1.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

That the administration be authorized to add a 1.0 grade 5 teacher to Governor Wolf Elementary School, at an approximate cost of $16,700, for the remainder of the 2001-2002 school year.
