The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
Department of Public Welfare, has announced the Family Center Continuation Grants.
Communities currently receiving funds to operate a Pennsylvania Family Center
have been invited to apply for funding for the 2001-2002 fiscal year. The
Bethlehem Area School District will be applying for funds on behalf of the
Marvine Family Center, which provides an array of health and social services,
and educational programs for children and families. The amount requested
provides for a 2% increase over last year, pending approval.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the
administration be authorized to submit a proposal to the Department of Public
Welfare for $315,805.
The administration's recommendations 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, and 32 were considered together.
