RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE ADMINISTRATION – January 29, 2001

 

 

1.      Authorization to Expend 1998 Bond Funds – Donegan Elementary School Construction Project – Change Order

 

 

INFORMATION:

 

The Donegan Elementary School Construction Project was initiated in June of 2000.  Delays in the construction schedule were realized due to the following: 

 

·      the asbestos abatement and demolition identified with the old school

·      extreme weather conditions

·      site difficulties affecting simultaneous phasing of construction

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

That the Board of School Directors authorize change orders to extend the contract completion date to August 15, 2001, to the following contractors at the Donegan Elementary School Construction Project:

 

            General Contractor     -           Skepton Construction, Inc.

            Electrical Contractor   -           Medlar Electric

            HVAC Contractor      -           Dual Temp Company

            Plumbing Contractor   -           Perkiomen Valley Plumbing & Heating
