INFORMATION:


The Bethlehem Area School District is eligible to apply for funds from the Pennsylvania
Department of Education to support school library technology and access to online
resources. The purpose of the grant is to provide school districts, especially those with high
rates of poverty, with funds that will help them meet their need to update and improve their
libraries.


RECOMMENDATION:

That the administration be authorized to submit an application in the amount of $49,962
for the 2000-2001 LSTA Grant which will enhance the technology capability of each
school library.
