RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE ADMINISTRATION - April 25, 2000

  1. Early Dismissals for Clearview, Donegan, and Lincoln Elementary School
    Students

INFORMATION:

Preparation to demolish Donegan Elementary School will begin immediately after the last
day of instruction in June. A plan has been developed to move furniture and equipment
from the current location to the Rosemont building. Early dismissals are necessary to
facilitate the implementation of this plan. Families who express concerns about the
availability of child care during the early dismissals will be addressed on a case-by-case
basis.


In addition, early dismissals will be required for Clearview Elementary School (currently
at Rosemont) to facilitate the return to the renovated building. Early dismissals at Lincoln
Elementary School will support the relocation into the new building.


RECOMMENDATION:

That the Board of School Directors authorize the administration to initiate the following
activities:

Dismiss Clearview, Donegan, and Lincoln Elementary Schools at 12 noon on
Tuesday, June 13, 2000; Wednesday, June 14, 2000; and Thursday, June 15,
2000.
