Salary Increases for Part-Time Clerks/Secretaries


INFORMATION:

Part-time clerks/secretaries do not belong to any Bethlehem Area School District bargaining
unit and do not automatically receive the wage increases given to bargaining unit members.
Therefore, in order to provide them with the wages paid to other clerical and secretarial
employes, the increases must be approved by the Board of School Directors. It is the
intention of the school district to provide regular part-time clerical and secretarial employes
the identical wage rate provided to bargaining unit members.


RECOMMENDATION:


That regular part-time clerical and secretarial employes be paid the same rate of pay as
provided in the current and future Collective Bargaining Agreements covering
Clerical/Secretarial Employes.
