RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE ADMINISTRATION - March 20, 2000

  1. Family Centers

INFORMATION:


The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Public Welfare, has announced the
Family Center Continuation grants. Communities currently receiving funds to operate a
Pennsylvania Family Center may request level funding for fiscal year 2000-2001. The
Bethlehem Area School District will be applying for funds on behalf of the Marvine
Family Center, which provides an array of health and social services and educational
programs for children and families.


RECOMMENDATION:

That the administration be authorized to submit a proposal to the Department of Public
Welfare for $199,336 for the Marvine Family Center.
