  1. Authorization to Expend Capital Funds - Governor Wolf Elementary
    School's Renovation/Construction Project - Change Order Details

INFORMATION:


During the course of construction at the Governor Wolf Elementary School, the
administration was informed that a plenum (air return) ceiling would be installed in the
school. In order to comply with fire codes, the data network requires plenum-rated cable
(approx. 38,000 ft.) instead of non-plenum cable.In the event of a fire, plenum cable
reduces the danger of toxic fumes from cable insulation being spread through air returns.
The contractor, Orlando Diefenderfer Electrical Contractors, Inc., has agreed to install
plenum cable for a cost not to exceed $10,206.00.

In addition, cable labeling and documentation needs to be completed.

That the Board of School Directors issue a change order to Orlando Diefenderfer Electrical
Contractors, Inc., to:

  • install plenum-rated data cable in Governor Wolf Elementary School at a cost
    not to exceed $10,206.00 and,
  • complete cable labeling and documentation at a cost not to exceed $1,542.35.
