Authorization to Request Permanent Reimbursable Percentage - Marvine
Elementary School Project No. 2801-C and Clearview Elementary School
Project No. 2811-C


INFORMATION:

The Pennsylvania Department of Education has requested that the Bethlehem Area
School District assist them in closing two PlanCon projects, thereby, enabling them to
establish a permanent reimbursable percentage and make final payments, if any, to the
school district. The projects in question date back to 1969 and 1970 and adequate
supporting documentation to complete the audit is not available. Therefore, the Board of
School Directors must request PDE to issue the permanent reimbursable percentage based
on the information sent.


RECOMENDATION:


That the Board of School Directors adopt the following:

Plan Con Part J, Project Accounting Based on Final Costs for PDE Projects No.
2801-C, Marvine Elementary School, and 2811-C, Clearview Elementary School,
cannot be submitted to the Department of Education due to incomplete or missing
project records;


The construction for PDE Projects No. 2801-C, Marvine Elementary School, and
2811-C, Clearview Elementary School, was complete based on the plans and
specifications approved by the Department; and,


The board, therefore, requests that the temporary reimbursable percentage become
the permanent reimbursable percentage on the financing for PDE Projects No.
2801-C, Marvine Elementary School, and 2811-C, Clearview Elementary School.
