Minutes

The administration's recommendations 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13,
14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26 were considered together.

President Koch asked why so many people had to attend the Driving Students
Achievement conference.

Mr. Doluisio replied that it is the Academic Standards annual conference.  Mr.
Villani and Mrs. Hubbard have told him it is absolutely first class and very
critical that some of our leaders attend.

Dr. Nelson stated that there are a number of sessions, too many for one
individual to attend.  Ann Goldberg will be meeting with people from across the
nation dealing with ESOL students.  These are people we can learn from and they
learn from us.

Director Venanzi asked if we are presenting at this conference.

Dr. Nelson replied that Tony Villani and Pam Hubbard have been asked to present
because of our leadership.

Mr. Doluisio added that Mr. Villani and Mrs. Hubbard are considered nationally as
two of the leaders of the movement.

Director Craig asked if our folks get any reimbursement for travel or expenses
when they present.

Dr. Nelson stated that the registration for the conference is waived for the two
presenters; they are not paid.
